Today, NAB announced an annual $5 million boost to education. The Schools First program goes to the core of NAB’s philosophy to foster meaningful partnerships in the community it operates in.
It aims to deliver better learning outcomes for children, more resources for schools and stronger communities. It is the first initiative to partner a major Australian business with education authorities and community organisations at a national level.
“It’s a simple premise – good things happen when schools, families and communities work together to support learning”, explained Ahmed Fahour, NAB Executive Director and CEO Australia.
Together schools and communities will identify specific issues that impact students and their neighbourhoods and then develop projects that address these issues.
