How to avoid paying bank fees
Want to avoid paying the monthly account service fee on your NAB smart everyday account? It’s easy. Simply deposit your salary, or any other regular amount, into your NAB Smart everyday account, and if it’s equal to, or more than the set monthly amount for your account, we’ll waive the fee.
Or, if you’re a full-time tertiary student, you can avoid the monthly service fee, by taking out a NAB Classic Account and providing evidence of your student status (via a student ID card).

Each regular deposit made into your account counts. So long as the overall total of incoming deposits is equal to or greater than the set monthly amount, we’ll waive the account service fee for that month.
And, this amount can be reached by one deposit or many, as long as it adds up to the minimum per month shown above. It could be reached by having your salary plus any share dividends, investment or interest income credited to your account.
